Thanks to a strong drive for research in the TTU scientific community and great contributions from the faculty members, Tan Tao University Review (TTU Review) is pleased to announce that TTU Review, Issue 5 has been released.
In this fifth issue published in December 2018, the final month of the year when TTU has various bustling activities, instructors from all Schools regularly submitted their articles to TTU Review, making Issue 5 available. The TTU Review Board would like to appreciate all the instructors for their great research drive and contributions.
Notably, with continuous efforts in researching, in 2018, TTU’s School of Medicine has achieved excellent results with 14 topics and research projects in the field of cardiovascular. Not only medical professors but also students contributed to the results of those studies as co-authors, making abstract reports at international conferences and their reports were published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology. Admirably, Prof. Thach Nguyen with his co-researchers had “Complex coronary bifurcation treatment by a novel stenting technique: Bench test, fluid dynamic study and clinical outcomes” published in WILEY journal, DOI:10.1002/ccd.27494. Other medical professors, namely Prof. Truong Le, Dr. Huyen Doan had their individual articles published in domestic medical journals. Also, Dr. Khanh Doan, a professor of pharmacology has still been working on a project funded by Vietnam National Foundation for Science and Technology Development (NAFOSTED).
Prominently, in September 2018, Dr. Truong Nguyen from School of Biotechnology co-authored “Silver and gold nanoparticles biosynthesized by aqueous extract of burdock root, Arctium lappa as antimicrobial agent and catalyst for degradation of pollutants” published in Springer Nature 2018, DOI:10.1007/s11356-018-3322-2. Besides, School of Biotechnology contributed one more article on matrix metalloproteinase by Dr. Quang Ta.
Other professors, namely Dr Dung Cao from School of Engineering, Mr. Jonathan Lankford and Mr. Nhon Dang from School of Humanities & Languages also contributed articles to TTU Review from their respective expertise.
Once again, TTU Review would like to thank you all the TTU professors and students for their fruitful scientific research activities. The Review hopes to receive more of the support and contributions in the future.
